"Tell people what you need, NOT what to do."
Again - this is what a good leader does. Engagement translates into productivity. The keys to engagement are to listen and learn and get out of the way. Coach when necessary.
Have a great week!
Hello. Great article here that I want to pass on. It's a very simple premise, but one we often forget in a transaction focused world.
The focus of the article is on a venture capitalist named Chris Fralic. And, the essence of the article is this: The Best Way To Be Highly Influential Is To Be Human To Every Person You Meet.
Below are Fralic's 7 rules for making connections
1) Convey genuine appreciation
2) Listen with intent
3) Use humility markers
4) Offer unvarnished honesty
5) Blue-Sky brainstorm
6) End every meeting or conversation with the feeling and optimism you'd like to have at the start of the your next conversation with the person.
7) Don't fake it till you make it
It's an excellent read - I highly encourage you to check it out.

"Behind every great man, is a woman rolling her eyes."
Ok, sort of funny. This quote is also suggesting that men have poorly thought our ideas...which is often true. Have a great week everyone!

That's too bad. Sales is what drives the world. Every job is a sales job. There are problems and there are solutions...and in between, there are sales people that bring it all together. Keep that in mind. Sales is not about stealing someone's time or money...it's about maximizing it and providing an innovative solution to a problem...even if the buyer doesn't know they have a problem.
