Ever wonder how interviewers can peel back the layers of your interview response to really get to the core of what they want to know? It's not easy...for sure. There is a lot of information regarding behavior based interviewing...and today's candidates come loaded with lots of "STAR" examples.
That said, some other industries are trying some old and new ways to get beyond the "canned" answers. I came across this article in HBR and found it valuable.

1) The interviewer will coach you (this isn't new of course)
2) The interviewer will interview you within a group of other candidates - all in the same room (never experienced this myself)
3) Test the "fit" by discussing culture (makes sense)
It's an interesting read and can give you insight into how other industries approach interviewing. And, if anything, can prepare you for a new wrinkle in pharma interviews.
