The Pharma Sales Interview Breakthrough Blog
Ok, so last week I shared my thoughts about LAZY job seekers.
Today, I would like to share my thoughts about tooting your own horn. I know some of you have difficulty doing this and I completely understand. It's not easy...and there is a fine line between tooting your own horn and being flat out arrogant.
So, here is the lense I want you to look through as you approach an interview. Assuming you have done the work (as described in my book, The Pharma Sales Interview Breakthrough Blueprint), you should know this:
You bring a unique set of skills and abilities to this potential opportunity that no one else has and you would maximize the impact of this role like no one else. If the organization that you are interviewing with does not hire you, then they are making a mistake.
Give them the information...all of the information...they need to best understand the mistake they would make. Force them to re-think the candidate that they have in mind.
This door has been opened for you for a reason. You wouldn't be interviewing if you weren't qualified. Now go in there and tell them how you have improved the lives of others through the work you have done.
Please keep the above in mind as you prepare and go into an interview. If you take that approach, you will have a high level of confidence and ownership of the role before it's even been offered to you.
Hope that perspective helps. Have a great week!
